Project # NFHWY00692 / Federal # NFAPT00706
Public engagement is a key element of developing statewide transportation plans for Alaska. The Alaska Administrative Code (ACC), Title 17 – Transportation, Section 05.125(b) outlines that when formulating its goals and objectives in the statewide transportation plan, and the strategies to implement those goals and objectives, DOT&PF will consider the concerns of interested persons and minimize any adverse environmental, economic, or social impact of those goals and objectives upon any segment of the population. By engaging the public during the statewide planning process, DOT&PF can gain a better understanding of the needs of the people throughout the state utilizing the infrastructure and services provided by the State.
The public outreach process strives to provide opportunities for the public to contribute to the development of the statewide transportation planning process! Please submit a comment or visit us at a public meeting to let your voice be heard.
